We are approved by Cheshire West and Chester (CWAC) as a vehicle testing station to perform the six monthly Hackney Carriage (Taxi Test). We were the areas first Which? Trusted Trader endorsed , full service, independent garage in 2014. We are also the winners of the UK’s Independent Garage of Excellence Award (IAAF) in 2013. Based in Ellesmere Port, easily accessible from the M53, Wirral and Chester. We repair and service all makes and models of cars – whether that’s a brand new car still under warranty, an older vehicle that needs some TLC and routine maintenance or a fleet vehicle.

We offer very competitive rates, by qualified technicians, on service and repair jobs. We really believe in keeping you on the road, safely and economically. We will always tell you whether your vehicle needs a new tyre, a service or a repair and, more importantly, we will be very upfront and tell you if your vehicle doesn’t need anything. This site has been established for nearly 30 years. Each year we update our systems, invest in training and equipment and welcome more new customers through personal recommendation. We are lucky enough to have a large customer base, encompassing both private cars and business fleets. At any time whilst we are carrying out work, one of our team is always available to explain costs, the work involved and timescales. Between us we have over 200 years of knowledge and experience. We like working together and we enjoy the company of our customers.
If there is any aspect of our work, service or simply, our attitude, that you are unhappy with, then we have a robust complaints procedure that will take you seriously. Simply ask at reception and we will walk you through it.
ATA Approved Technicians
In the team at Port Tyres & Autocare we have registered ATA (Automotive Technician Accreditation) members. We invest in training to make sure you can safely leave your vehicle in the hands of assessed and accredited technicians. All ATA registered individuals are skilled, tested and regulated.
